Anatomage Table Gives Students High-tech Experience in Anatomy Lab
Olney Central College is introducing new cutting-edge technology to its anatomy lab with the addition of an Anatomage Table. The life-sized, 3D interactive device, enables students to perform virtual dissection. With the swipe of a finger, students can peel back layers of the digitally created body, exposing muscles, organs and bones. Students can even watch the heart beating as blood flows through the circulatory system.

Soneye Named Semifinalist for Cooke Scholarship
Lincoln Trail College sophomore Abiodun Soneye has been selected as a semifinalist for the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation’s Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship. Through the award, the Foundation supports high-achieving community college students with financial need seeking to complete their bachelor’s degrees at selective four-year institutions.

Tickets for OCC Theater's "Mamma Mia!" on Sale March 7
Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 7 for the Olney Central College Theatre’s production of “Mamma Mia!,” sponsored by TrustBank. Performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. on March 18, 19, 24, 25 and 26. Afternoon shows will begin at 2 p.m. on March 20 and 27. OSHA 10-Hour Certification Course Starts March 15
Olney Central College and Illinois Eastern Community Colleges Business and Industry are partnering to offer occupational safety courses to assist individuals in completing their OSHA 10-Hour certification. Instructor Ted Marshall said the Occupational Safety and Health Administration classes are designed for general industries including manufacturing, welding, retail and health care facilities.

Massage Therapy Accepting Appointments for Clinicals
Olney Central College’s Massage Therapy Program is accepting appointments for Spring clinicals. The clinics are open to the public and will be held from 9:15 a.m. to 2 p.m. on March 19 and April 2 at the West Richland Center in Noble. The cost for a relaxing massage is $30 for an hour and $20 for half an hour. A 20-minute chair massage is $15.

The Illinois Eastern Community Colleges: Olney Central College Associate Degree Nursing Program is accepting applications for Fall 2022 entry at Frontier Community, Lincoln Trail, Olney Central and Wabash Valley colleges. LTC Pool Project Continues
The renovation project to the Rowland-Nicholas Natatorium continues.  “We’re very eager to see the project completed,” said Lincoln Trail College Director of Marketing Chris Forde. “Unfortunately, we’ve experienced supply chain issues that have caused delays to the project.” Forde said there are still several things that need to be completed, including some plumbing work and finishing work in the new rooms, before a final walkthrough can be completed.

8-week Liberal Arts Math Course Starts March 15
Olney Central College is offering MTH 1103 Liberal Arts Math as an 8-week Mid-Semester course. In this hybrid course, most of the homework and exams will be online, while instruction will take place face to face.  This course meets the math requirement for graduation. Students should consult their advisors as they may need to take a placement exam. Liberal Arts Math will meet from 8 to 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday and Thursday beginning March 15.
