Lady Warrior sophomore guard Beautiful Waheed has shined during her time at Wabash. She was an essential part of the 2023-24 team that made it to the final four of the NJCAA Division I National Championship.

Lincoln Trail College Ranked Among Best in US
Intelligent.com, a widely recognized source for higher education rankings and research, has included Lincoln Trail College in its annual assessment, awarding it The Best Community Colleges for 2025. In their rankings of the Top 50 Community Colleges in the United States, LTC was ranked 40th.

Rafferty Scholar Named
Maddox McElravy of Jewett was recently awarded the Steve Rafferty Memorial Scholarship by Frontier Community College in Fairfield.
The Steve Rafferty Memorial Scholarship was established in March 2014. Rafferty served as the Lead Faculty for the Electrical Distribution Systems program at FCC from 2008 until his passing in March 2014. This scholarship is awarded exclusively to students enrolled in the FCC Electrical Distribution Systems program.

FCC Students Receive Wayne-White Scholarship
Three Frontier Community College students were recently awarded the Wayne-White County Electrical Co-Op Scholarship in honor of Gerry Kinney. Caleb Hardy, of Opdyke, Asa Cannon, of Norris City, and Jeffrey Short of Newton were this year’s recipients, all three are currently enrolled in the Electrical Distribution Systems Program.

Diesel Day 2024
On October 16th, Wabash Valley College hosted Diesel Day, an exciting event designed to give high school students a firsthand look at the field of Diesel Equipment Technology. The day-long event provided students with insight into the high-demand career and offered hands-on learning opportunities guided by industry professionals.

OCC Music Department Fall Concerts October 9 & November 6
Olney Central College’s Music Department will present two upcoming concerts, starting with the OCC Jazz and Commercial Music Ensembles at 7 p.m. on October 9 in the Dr. John D.Stull Performing Arts Center.
The OCC Jazz Ensemble, led by Director of Bands Wade Baker, will perform a variety of contemporary pieces, including Kite and Young Stuff by the American jazz fusion band Snarky Puppy, as well as The Crossing by the Menahan Street Band.
