Within the Emergency Preparedness program lies an American Heart Association (AHA) Training Center, which offers in-person classroom training and skills sessions on CPR, AED, First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS). The AHA Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course trains participants to provide first aid, CPR, and use and automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. The BLS course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.
