LTC Students Attend FBLA Career Connections Conference
Four Lincoln Trail College students had the opportunity to travel to Omaha, Nebraska for the Future Business Leaders of America’s Career Connections Conference.  Guadalupe Amicone, Evan Gower, Madisyn McIntosh, and Dylan Reed traveled to the conference with advisor Amie Mayhall for the conference, which took place November 3-5.

LTC Fall Instrumental Concert
The Arts at Lincoln Trail College will present its Fall Instrumental Concert on November 15 at 7:00 p.m. at the Zwermann Arts Center Theater. The concert will feature the newly formed LTC String Orchestra and the LTC Jazz Band. Additionally, a small ensemble will perform the classic rock hits “Stand By Me” and “Stray Cat Strut,” featuring Michael Bach on vocals. A student rock group will also perform at the concert. Tickets for the Fall Instrumental Concert are $5 and will be available at the door.

OCC Anderson Library Opens Zen Den
The Anderson Library partnered with OCC’s Peer Coach Program and the Active Minds Club to create a meditation room within the library. Designed for students, faculty and staff, the Zen Den provides a dedicated space for meditation, prayer, contemplation, calming sensory overload and reflection. Located in the Academic Success Center, Room 255B, the Zen Den offers visitors a soothing and relaxing environment where they can reduce anxiety while recharging the mind and body.

Auditions for 'It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play' Oct. 11-12
Olney Central College Theater will hold auditions for the fall production of “It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play” at 7 p.m. on Oct. 11-12 in the Dr. John D. Stull Performing Arts Center. This beloved American holiday classic comes to captivating life as a live 1940s radio broadcast. With the help of an ensemble that brings a few dozen characters to the stage, the story of idealistic George Bailey unfolds as he considers ending his life one fateful Christmas Eve.

Register Now for Fall Mid-Semester Courses
Olney Central College is offering several fall mid-semester classes starting Oct. 14. Mid-semester courses are ideal for students who may have dropped a class earlier in the semester or for those who want to complete a course in just 8 weeks. Face-to-face classes include: ART 1141 Cinema Appreciation, 1 to 3:50 p.m. on Friday BUS 1101 Introduction to Business, noon to 12:50 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday CHM 1115 Chemistry & Society, 9 to 10:50 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday

PTK Creates New Student Lounge
Olney Central College students have a new place to relax and grab a snack between classes — The Keep Student Lounge. Located in Room 207A on Wattleworth Hall’s second floor, the newly dedicated student space includes study tables, comfy chairs, a microwave, a fully-stocked refrigerator and a Keurig coffee maker. Students also have access to a food pantry with microwaveable meals and a variety of snack items. The room is available to all students from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Julie Harrolle Receives Juanita Harris Nursing Scholarship
The family of Olney Central College nursing graduate Juanita Harris chose to honor her legacy by presenting a scholarship in her memory to a second-year Associate Degree Nursing student. Julie Harrolle, of Olney, is the recipient of the $1,200 monetary award, which can be used for tuition, fees, books, travel or other college-related expenses.
