Automotive Program Receives National Recognition
Frontier Community College (FCC) was recently recognized as the “Best Automotive Trade School by Value” in an online study published by Trade School Future. The report used a variety of criteria to determine the top ten trade schools offering an automotive program, and FCC placed at the top of the list with its Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Master-accredited Automotive Technology program.

Frontier Receives $2.24 Million Federal Grant
Fairfield, Ill. – Frontier Community College (FCC), an Illinois Eastern Community College, has been selected to receive a grant from the U.S. Department of Education Strengthening Institutions Program (SIP) for a total amount of $2,249,961 from October 2019 through September 2024. The allocation of funds will be approximately $450,000 for each of the five years.

Automotive Program Retains Master ASE Accreditation
Frontier Community College (FCC) recently received word from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) that its Automotive Technology program continues to meet the requirements for Master Automobile Service Technology accreditation. This is the highest level of program accreditation recognized by the institute.

FCC Nursing Students Presented with Scholarships

Forbes Ranks FCC a Top 25 Two-Year Trade School
In a report published by Forbes on August 16, Frontier Community College (FCC) was ranked the 15th best two-year trade school in the nation. Written by Carter Coudriet of Forbes Staff, the report is titled “The Top 25 Two-Year Trade Schools: Colleges That Can Solve The Skills Gap” and has been published on Forbes’ website.
Unlike the well-known Forbes Top Colleges list, which names four-year public and private universities, the Top 25 Two-Year Trade Schools list includes technical and career colleges that provide programs to cover a large variety of in-demand jobs.
