Curtis Marshall

Curtis Marshall has served as a welding instructor at Olney Central College since 2012. A 2004 graduate of OCC, Curtis worked on a variety of jobs throughout the Midwest as a member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers.
He is an American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspector and a Certified Welding Educator. The CWI designation is recognized both nationally and internationally and is one of the highest certifications available through the AWS.
As a Certified Welding Inspector, Curtis is qualified to award various certifications and credentials to the students. The CWE is geared for welding professionals specifically in the welding education field. The certification confirms the instructor’s ability, talent and knowledge to specifically direct and perform operations associated with welder training and classroom instruction.
Maverick Fisher
Welding Specialist

A graduate of Olney Central College, Maverick Fisher joined OCC in 2019 as the Welding Specialist for the Illinois Eastern Community Colleges Title IIII Grant. He brings more than eight years’ welding experience to the position.
A member of Boilermakers Union 374 in Hobart, Ind., Maverick worked as a traveling boilermaker maintaining and building both coal and nuclear power plants. He was previously employed as a fabricator at BWXT in Mt. Vernon, Ind., which builds nuclear propulsion systems for the U.S. Navy. He also served as a welder at GSI, Inc. and DC Weld.

Maverick, who holds numerous certifications in both the nuclear field and construction industry, taught basic and artistic welding classes as an adjunct instructor at OCC.
