Professional Licensure Disclosure

(Consumer Information Disclosure)

This information is being provided per Federal Regulations 34 CFR 668.43 (a)(5)(v) and 34 CFR 668.43(c), which require disclosures by institutions regarding educational requirements for programs leading to professional licensure or certification regardless of modality.

IECC offers several programs that prepare students to seek professional licensure or certification within the State of Illinois. Due to varying licensing requirements from state to state, completion of a program of study at IECC may not meet the minimum requirements for other states. For this reason, before enrolling in any program leading to a professional license, students are strongly encouraged to contact the appropriate licensing agency to seek information and additional guidance before beginning a program outside their home state.

Accreditation
IECC is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission

State Authorization
IECC is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (NC-SARA), which allows us to offer distance learning programs and coursework to residents of states outside of Illinois. NC-SARA membership, however, does not grant reciprocity or exempt students from state professional licensing requirements in other states.

NC-SARA has worked with other entities to create the Professional Licensure Directory. It provides general contact information and is updated twice annually.  It does not house regulations or requirements.

Students may find the contact information helpful in their research on state licensure agreement based on their location.  Professional licenses contact information is provided for the top five programs based on enrollments by NC-SARA institutions:

  • Counseling
  • Nursing
  • Psychology
  • Social work
  • Teacher Education

Relocation
Students considering relocation to another state should consult their advisor to discuss authorization and licensure eligibility requirements.

International Students
Prior to enrolling in any program at IECC, prospective students living and/or working outside of the United States should confirm with the appropriate certifying agency whether successful completion of any degree program at IECC will meet the credentialing requirements of the country in which they intend to seek employment.

IECC Licensure and Certification Programs

Following are those programs offered at IECC that prepare students for a professional licensure or certification. IECC has determined these programs comply with Illinois licensure requirements.
