Overview
Massage therapy's popularity continues to increase as more people discover its health benefits, which include improved circulation along with a decrease in stress and anxiety, pain, and muscle tension.
Olney Central College's Massage Therapy Program provides students with the skills needed to work in the wellness area of professional massage therapy. This is a part-time certificate program with classes offered in the evening to give students additional flexibility. The program is located at the Terry L. Bruce West Richland Center, 320 E. North Avenue in Noble.
Hands-on Learning
While enrolled in the program, students master massage techniques through in-class practice and clinicals. The clinicals, which are open to the public, provide practice with a variety of clients. Students also learn and practice other complementary therapies.
NCBTMB Certified
Olney Central College is proud to be recognized as a National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB) Assigned School. This designation certifies that our Massage Therapy Program has met or exceeded the high standards of excellence established by the NCBTMB. Licensing
Upon completion of the program, students will be eligible to sit for the Massage and Bodywork Licensure Examination (MBLEx), which is administered by the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB).
