Welding and Cutting Certificate Curriculum

The Welding and Cutting Certificate provides students training in Stick, MIG, TIG and FCAW. Students enhance their skills through extensive hands-on learning utilizing the mechanized oxy cutting and thermal cutting processes.

During the one-year program, students complete testing on 24 types of structural and pipe welds, which meet the American Welding Society D1.1 Structural Steel Welding Code and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Section IX Welding Code.

After completing the certificate, students can enter the workforce or continue their education earning an associate degree with just two additional semesters of study.

Wages for those with a welding certificate can reach up to $29 an hour.
