Overview
Olney Central College's Industrial Maintenance HVAC I Certificate trains students in the fundamentals of Heating, Ventilation, Cooling, and Refrigeration. Students will learn about refrigerant and electricity, brazing and soldering as well as duct construction and layout. The two-semester course of study focuses on the installation and repair of residential and commercial (small business) HVAC systems. Students will explore residential A/C, gas and electric furnaces, heat pumps, walk-in refrigeration, ice makers, chillers, and air distribution.
Hands-on Learning
Students gain hands-on experience troubleshooting and installing equipment in our labs and other project areas.
