The Olney Central College Music Department has vocal and instrumental scholarships available for the 2026-2027 academic year. Any student who plays a band instrument or sings is eligible for consideration, regardless of major. OLNEY, IL — Olney Central College Theater’s production of the musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat opens on March 20 at the Dr. John D. Stull Performing Arts Center. The production marks the return of the beloved musical to the OCC stage for the first time in 18 years. Known for its lively music and colorful storytelling, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat retells the familiar biblical story of Joseph, his famous coat of many colors, and his journey from hardship to triumph.

Olney Central College is proud to announce that 100 percent of its 2025 Cosmetology graduates passed the Illinois Licensed Cosmetologist Exam — marking the fourth consecutive year the program has achieved a perfect completion rate.

Olney Central College is hosting a FAFSA Completion Night from 3 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24 in Room 205 on the second floor of Dr. Kent L. Wattleworth Hall. OCC Financial Aid experts will be available to answer questions and assist students and parents in Filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Those attending should bring their FSA ID and 2024 tax returns to simplify the process.  

Olney Central College’s Massage Therapy Program is accepting appointments for Spring clinicals. The clinics are open to the public and will be held from 9:15 a.m. to 2 p.m. on February 21, March 20, April 11 and April 24 at the West Richland Center in Noble. The cost for a relaxing massage is $45 for an hour and $30 for half an hour. A 20-minute chair massage is $20.

Nathan Legg, of Fairfield, was among accounting students from across the nation selected to participate in the 2025 Two-Year Bridge Symposium hosted by the American Accounting Association Foundation. The one-day event is designed for two-year college students, providing the opportunity to connect with accounting professionals, learn about career and transfer pathways and get real-world advice on how to succeed in the accounting field.

OLNEY, Ill. — Outstanding students at Olney Central College have received academic honors for the Fall 2025 Semester. Students named to the Chancellor’s List have attained a grade point average of 3.90 or higher, on a 4.0 scale. Those on the President’s List have achieved a grade point average between 3.75 and 3.89, while those students named to the Dean’s List have earned a grade point average between 3.50 and 3.74.   Chancellor’s List:  Albion: Tabitha Rhodes and Travis Roosevelt  Allendale: Ava Bogard

Olney – Olney Central College, the Illinois Capital Development Board (CDB), and local and state officials will celebrate the completion of the new Health Professions Center with an Open House and Dedication Ceremony on December 11. The public is invited to explore the 8,500-square-foot addition to Dr. Kent L. Wattleworth Hall from 3 to 7 p.m., with a formal dedication ceremony at 4 p.m.

The Olney Central College Community Choir will present its annual Christmas Concert at 7 p.m. on December 12 in the Dr. John D. Stull Performing Arts Center. Director of Choral Activities Dr. Andrew Pittman said this year’s event will feature a variety of selections that reflect the joy and spirit of the holiday season.

Olney Central College Radiography students will now have access to a C-arm machine on campus after the Carle Richland Memorial Hospital Radiology Department donated the previously used equipment. In medical settings, the advanced imaging device uses X-ray technology and a characteristic C-shaped arm to provide real-time, high-resolution images during surgical and interventional procedures.
