AI and Student Support
Generative AI tools can change how students study, write, and ask for help. IECC has not endorsed commercial AI tutoring, homework, writing, or wellbeing products for general student use. This page previously listed many such tools without vetting, so that list has been removed.
Approved tools
CETL is developing a short list of IECC-approved tools. Until it is published, please check with your instructor and the course syllabus before using any AI tool for coursework.
Responsible-use guidance
- Follow each course's rules on permitted and prohibited AI use. If you are unsure, ask your instructor.
- Disclose and cite AI use when your instructor requires it.
- Do not enter private information, such as student IDs, health details, or passwords, into AI tools.
- AI can be wrong. Check facts, sources, and calculations yourself.
- Your work must reflect your own learning. See the IECC Academic Integrity Policy.
