IECC Hosting SPIN Nights to Help Students and Families Plan for College

Feb 24, 2026

Illinois Eastern Community Colleges (IECC) will host a series of Student/Parent Information Nights, known as SPIN Nights, this March to help prospective students and their families take the next step toward college enrollment.

Each campus will host its own SPIN Night from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on the following dates:

Frontier Community College – March 3
Olney Central College – March 5
Lincoln Trail College – March 19
Wabash Valley College – March 17

SPIN Night is designed as a one-stop opportunity for students and parents to explore IECC programs, connect with key staff members, and learn more about the enrollment process.

During the event, attendees can explore academic programs, speak with Financial Aid representatives, schedule advising appointments, learn about student clubs and organizations, and discover support services available through each campus’s Learning Commons.

“SPIN Night is about making college planning simple and approachable for both students and their families,” said Carrie Halbert, IECC Director of Student Engagement and Recruitment. “We want them to walk in with questions and leave feeling confident about their next steps.”

Halbert said the event allows families to gather information in one setting rather than trying to piece together details on their own.

“Students can meet advisors, talk through financial aid options, and see the support systems we have in place,” Halbert said. “It’s an opportunity to see firsthand how IECC helps students succeed from day one.”

Registration is encouraged. Students and parents can scan the QR code included on promotional materials to select the campus and date they plan to attend.

In addition to SPIN Night activities, Lincoln Trail College will also host an Ag Exploration Night on March 19, giving attendees the opportunity to learn more about agricultural programs and careers.
