Learning Commons

Each IECC college has a Learning Commons, with access to resources and services both on and off-campus. Learning Commons components consist of: Learning Resources, Tutoring/Wellness, Testing Services, and Disability Services. The goal of Learning Commons is to provide a supportive environment that empowers students to overcome challenges, achieve their academic goals, and develop the skills necessary for success in both their educational and professional endeavors.

Visit your campus Learning Commons for:

• Computer labs   

• Tutoring resources, time management, and study skills

• Support and assistance for students with disabilities   

• Testing (such as placement, certification exams, GED, etc.) 

• Copying, printing, scanning, faxing

• Health and wellness support

• Reference and other online resources

• Research guides

• Digital Collections

• Writing and citation resources (like Turnitin Draft Coach, Purdue Owl, Zotero, etc.)
