Name: Wain Davis
Experience: Wain graduated from the Illinois Institute of Art-Schaumburg with a BFA in Media Arts and Animation. He also graduated from Greenville University with a Masters of Art in Teaching (Art 6-12, History 6-12, and Computer Technology 6-8).
Wain believes that through education we can make our world better. This is why he has dedicated his life and career to education. Wain strives each day to help the next generation to learn from his successes, as well as his failures.

FCC TRIO SSS Academic Advisor
Name: Jaeda Thomason
Experience: Jaeda is a proud FCC alumna. She began her college journey at FCC in 2019 as a first-generation student fresh out of high school, navigating uncertainty about her future while balancing personal and academic challenges. Through the support of TRIO and dedicated mentors, Jaeda discovered her path, transferred to the University of Southern Indiana, and earned her bachelor’s degree.
Hired at Frontier as a TRIO Student Support Services Academic Counselor in 2025, Jaeda’s journey has come full circle. Drawing from her own experiences, she is passionate about helping students build confidence, overcome obstacles, and access opportunities they may not realize are possible. Whether supporting academic success, life skills, or simply being a listening ear, Jaeda is committed to giving back to the program and college that helped shape her future.

LTC TRIO SSS Academic Advisor
Name: Caleb Kamplain
Experience: Caleb joined TRIO Student Support Services in 2024. Kamplain’s educational path reflects his commitment to lifelong learning and student empowerment. After earning his associate degree from LTC, he pursued a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Southern Indiana and completed a Master of Arts in Community Psychology at National Louis University in 2024. He is now working toward a Ph.D. in the same field. His background includes roles as a graduate research assistant and as a substitute special education paraprofessional, experiences he says have strengthened his approach to advising. As an advisor, Kamplain’s focus will be on recruiting and guiding students through the TRIO SSS program, providing personalized academic support, and working closely with faculty and staff to address obstacles that can impact student success. “My goal is to be a resource for students and to offer support, no matter where they are on their journey.”

WVC TRIO SSS Academic Advisor
Name: Cindy Smith
Experience: Cindy is a TRIO Alum with a passion for helping others recognize their strengths to realize their potential. She received her associate in science and arts-psychology from OCC in 2021. She was awarded B.S. in psychology degree in December 2023 from Indiana State University and is pursuing an M.S. in Student Affairs at Eastern Illinois University. Her caring and supportive nature provides her students with a trustworthy advocate who refuses to allow them to give up. She joined the IECC family in May of 2023 and plans to be cheering her students on for the long haul.
