A New Crosswalk connecting Wabash Valley College’s Future
A new crosswalk has been added on Oak Street, connecting the Small World Child Development Center and the Warrior Grill on Wabash Valley College’s campus. This project was done with safety in mind, helping the children and staff at Small World cross the street more easily and safely.

IECC DUAL CREDIT CLASSES HAVE BIG IMPACT ON LOCAL STUDENTS
Olney, Ill.  --  Local students are seeing a big impact from dual credit classes taken at Frontier Community College, Lincoln Trail College, Olney Central College, and Wabash Valley College. Dual credit classes allow high school students to take college-level classes and earn college credit while still in high school.

FAFSA Fridays at IECC
IECC is excited to announce FAFSA Fridays in the month of August. Every Friday during the month, students may visit the Financial Aid Office on any of the four campuses to receive assistance filling out their FAFSA.  The 2024-2025 FAFSA process has been even more challenging with the FAFSA Simplification Act, and these days are designed to make the process a little bit easier. “We want to help eliminate the challenges and barriers our students may be facing,” said Program Director of Financial Aid Krystle Riggle.

WVJC The Bash Celebrates 50!
The Wabash Valley College radio station, 89.1 The Bash, turned 50 years old this year! The station celebrates 50 years of being on-air as a 50,000-watt station and rocking the tri-state with alternative music! The radio studio is in the science building within the radio and television department. WVJC was granted its first license by the Federal Communications Commission on February 22nd, 1974. To commemorate the event, there will be special promotions for the year, including voices of alumni on The Bash!

1st Annual Theatre Camp
The Wabash Valley Arts Council recently hosted its inaugural Theatre Camp at the Wabash Valley College Brubeck Arts Theatre, bringing together young talents from the community for a week of learning and performance. The camp, open to students entering 5th grade through high school seniors, ran daily from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a lunch break at noon.

2024 Spring Honors Report
Wabash Valley College has released its academic honors report for the Spring 2024 Semester. Three lists have been established by Illinois Eastern Community Colleges to indicate students who have achieved academic excellence. They are the Chancellor's Academic Honors List, the President’s Academic Honors List and the Dean’s Academic Honors List. To qualify for any of the honor lists, a student must be enrolled full-time (12 hours or more) and must be taking college-level classes.

WVC Awards Scholarships to Mount Carmel High School Students at Honors Night
Wabash Valley College proudly awarded scholarships to deserving Mount Carmel High School students during their Honors Night on Thursday, May 9th. These scholarships presented by WVC's academic advisor Brady Martin and Wabash Valley Arts Council Representative Dennis Stroughmat, aim to support students in pursuing higher education and achieving their academic goals.

WVC Farm Bureau Named Outstanding Collegiate Farm Bureau Chapter
BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — Illinois Farm Bureau recently named Wabash Valley Collegiate Farm Bureau as the Outstanding Collegiate Farm Bureau Chapter for the 2023-2024 academic year. The Outstanding Chapter Award recognizes the top Collegiate Farm Bureau Chapter for their efforts in actively implementing the mission and goals of Illinois Collegiate Farm Bureau while making strides to both set and execute their chapter specific goals over the course of the academic year.
