Wabash Valley College is excited to announce its lineup of Community Education classes for Fall 2025, offering engaging, affordable opportunities for lifelong learning. Open to all community members, these classes are designed to promote wellness, skill-building, and creative expression in a welcoming environment.

Progressive Stretch
Mondays and Wednesdays | 4:30 or 5:30 PM | $70 | Science Building Room 61
This wellness-focused class helps participants improve flexibility, strength, and mobility through progressive stretching techniques. All fitness levels are welcome. -
Concealed Carry Certification and Renewal
WVC offers certified courses for both first-time applicants and those needing renewal. Classes cover firearm safety, handling, and Illinois law in a structured, secure setting.

WVC Community Choir
Wednesdays | 3:30–5:30 PM | Free | Brubeck Arts Center Theatre
Open to students and local singers of all experience levels, the choir meets weekly to rehearse and prepare for performances that celebrate music and community.

- Discover Digital Photography ($130): A beginner’s introduction to photography fundamentals, including composition, exposure, and using your camera more effectively
- Computer Skills for the Workplace ($147): A practical course covering email, spreadsheets, databases, and other essential office software skills to help participants thrive in today’s workforce
- How to Get Started in Game Development ($144): An overview of the gaming industry with hands-on projects that teach design concepts, development techniques, and industry insights for aspiring creators
- Stocks, Bonds, and Investing: Oh, My! ($141): A step-by-step course for beginners interested in financial literacy, personal investing, retirement planning, and making informed decisions without a broker
- Spanish ($143): An interactive language-learning course covering common words, phrases, and cultural insights to help students converse confidently in Spanish
- Conversational Japanese ($130): A travel-friendly introduction to Japanese conversation and culture, featuring phrases, vocabulary, and audio practice to make learning accessible for beginners
These offerings are part of a broader initiative across the Illinois Eastern Community Colleges (IECC) district, which includes Frontier Community College, Lincoln Trail College, and Olney Central College. Additional classes in art, fitness, driver’s education, and more are available throughout the region.
