Runners and walkers alike are invited to participate in the upcoming Riverview Ramble Half Marathon, scheduled for Saturday, October 26, 2024. The race will feature three exciting options: a timed 5K, 10K, and a Half Marathon, giving participants the chance to enjoy scenic views along the historic "Bluff City" and the Wabash River.
The event will kick off at 8:00 a.m. at Mt. Carmel Merchant’s Park, located at the intersection of 4th and Market Streets. The course will officially close at 11:00 a.m. CST, with runners who have not completed the race by the 3-hour mark no longer timed.
Race Details:
- Timed races: 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon
- Cash prizes for top male and female finishers in each race:
- $50 for Half Marathon winners
- $25 for 10K and 5K winners
- Age group awards will be presented in the following categories:
- 1-12, 13-17, 18-25, 26-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and up
Participants can pick up their race packets at the Mt. Carmel Public Utility office, located at 316 N Market St., from Monday, October 21, through Friday, October 25, during office hours (8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.). A copy of the registration is required for packet collection. Limited race day packet pick-up will be available; however, no race day sign-ups will be accepted.
The Riverview Ramble will not only challenge participants but also support the local community, with all proceeds benefiting the Brubeck Arts Center at Wabash Valley College.
