Lincoln Trail College Recognized As Having Top Associate in General Studies Degree Program
Intelligent.com, a trusted resource for program rankings and higher education planning, awarded Lincoln Trail College another top national ranking. LTC was ranked number one in their Best Online Associate in General Studies Degree Programs of 2024. This comes on the heels of LTC earning their number 8 ranking in the Best Community Colleges of 2024 and number 6 as the Best Community Colleges in Illinois.

Community Invited to Statesmen Day
Lincoln Trail College is hosting an event on January 20 called Statesmen Day and is encouraging people to come to the College to learn what’s new at LTC. Statesmen Day begins at 11:30 a.m. when participants will check in. From there, they’ll tour the college and enjoy a pregame pizza party. Additionally, participants will get free Lincoln Trail College swag and admission to LTC’s basketball games against Rend Lake College that afternoon.

Lincoln Trail College Hosts International Thanksgiving Dinner
Students from 22 different countries came to Lincoln Trail College on November 17 for IECC’s Annual Thanksgiving Meal. International students from each campus are invited to participate in the event and they were joined by several American students, including some from the TRIO Student Support Services program.

Members of the Alpha Delta Nu Nursing Honor Society put a focus on mental health for their fellow nursing students. They put on a special event on November 13 where students in the nursing program could visit a variety of stations and learn about mental health topics and study tips.

Business Students Learn About Big Things
Lincoln Trail College business students had the opportunity to learn about a venture that’s made the Guinness Book of World Records and another that’s headed by an LTC alumnus. The students took separate trips that took them to visit Casey, Ill. to learn about their Big Things in a Small Town and to The Woods Event Center located between Robinson and Oblong.

Trunk or Treat at the Trail set for October 26
One of Lincoln Trail College’s most popular community events is returning this year. Trunk or Treat at the Trail takes place from 4-6 p.m. on October 26, 2023, in the large parking lot at the College. “This is a really fun event for everybody,” says Lincoln Trail College Coordinator of Marketing and Public Information Chris Forde. “We really enjoy providing the community a safe and fun place where families can trick or treat.”

LTC Plans Senior Day Event
Lincoln Trail College will welcome high school seniors to the College on October 25. The Senior Day event will give seniors more information about LTC. “We want to make this a fun and engaging event for our area seniors,” says Illinois Eastern Community Colleges Director of Enrollment Management Andrea Loll. “We’re planning some unique activities to showcase how Lincoln Trail College is a great choice for area students.”
