Businesses that want to get started on Facebook or sharpen their strategies on social media will have a chance to learn more at Lincoln Trail College. The College is offering a one-day workshop called Getting Started with Facebook for Business on March 4.
Illinois Eastern Community Colleges and Lincoln Trail College Director of Marketing Chris Forde will lead the class. Forde holds certifications for his expertise in social media marketing and has managed or advised on more than two dozen social media channels on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.
“The goal of this class is to help businesses get started on Facebook,” said Forde. “Social media is an incredibly powerful tool for businesses. In this class, we’ll cover the basics of how to get started, how you can build your audience, and how you can start effectively using Facebook to showcase your business.”
The class is a partnership between LTC, Illinois Eastern Community Colleges Business and Industry, the Robinson Chamber of Commerce, and the Crawford County Development Association. The cost is $20, and a light breakfast will be available with the class. It takes place from 8-9:30 a.m. on March 4 in Student Union Room 209. Computers will be available during the class, but participants are encouraged to also bring their own devices.
