Lincoln Trail College is teaming up with the University of Illinois Extension to present a webinar on inflammation and arthritis. It takes place on September 3 from 12-1 p.m.
Arthritis is a condition in which one or more of your joints become inflamed, often leading to stiffness, soreness, and in some cases swelling. This disease affects the lives of more than 54 million adults in the United States with more than 21 million having osteoarthritis. Certain lifestyle changes could help improve joint health, as well as help to prevent, relieve, and manage its symptoms. During this workshop, we will provide an overview of the three most common types of arthritis and provide insight into the most common type of arthritis, osteoarthritis. You will also learn how a healthy lifestyle can help improve your joint health, as well as help you to manage your osteoarthritis.
People can register for the workshop by contacting the Lincoln Trail College library. Once you register, a link to the webinar on Zoom will be emailed to you.
The Inflammation and Arthritis webinar is a part of Lincoln Trail College’s Community Education program, which offers classes in the arts, health and recreation, professional skills, personal growth, and programs for kids. Other Community Education classes can be found here.
