Wabash Valley College is hosting Town Hall Meetings for its Early Childhood Education Program, which is available on all four campuses of Illinois Eastern Community Colleges (IECC). The event will be held at Olney Central College at 7 p.m. on April 18 in the Student Union. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and no reservations are required.
The Town Hall is open to childcare providers, preschool teachers, high school juniors/seniors, parents of teens, employers, community partners, former students, and parents of young children.
During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to meet with Wabash Valley College's Early Childhood Education faculty and explore the degree curriculum. The faculty will also present various grant opportunities, financial aid options, and new legislation changing the Early Childhood field. Attendees will also learn about career opportunities in Early Childhood Education.
"We are excited to host this town hall event for our Early Childhood Education Program," said Carla Cadwalader, Early Childhood Education Professor. "We believe this event will be a great opportunity for those interested in pursuing a career in Early Childhood Education, or simply to learn more about our program and how it can benefit them and the communities they serve."
Wabash Valley College's Early Childhood Education Program is designed to prepare students for a rewarding career in Early Childhood Education. The program offers an Associate in Applied Science degree and certificate options. It is also designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become effective childcare providers and educators.
