Wabash Valley College (WVC) is proud to announce the successful completion of its first year in the Physical Therapist Assistant Program (PTA) and the upcoming graduation of its first cohort of 13 students next spring. The program is now accepting applications for its next cohort, which will begin in Fall 2023.

The PTA program at WVC has made remarkable progress over the past year, with a focus on developing the curriculum, acquiring advanced equipment, and creating collaborative learning opportunities for its students. Students have participated in various volunteering events, Interprofessional Education, and Clinic Days at Wabash General Hospital.

WVC has incorporated state-of-the-art equipment in the program, including the Physiogait Dynamic Unweighting Machine, Dynapro Elite AFO Braces, and Functional Electrical Stimulation Machines, among others. Additionally, the program has added new and experienced staff members to the team and created the SPTA Club for student engagement.

The PTA program is proud to offer six $5,000 scholarships and six full book scholarships to students entering the program. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply to WVC and contact one of our professors for more information about applying to the Physical Therapist Assistant Program.
