Frontier Community College is excited to announce this summer's line-up of kid's summer classes. These are an excellent way for kids to learn about fun topics in a hands-on interactive course. If you would like to enroll your child in any of the courses listed below, stop by the records office at Frontier Community College.
Plant a Seed & Read PreK-5th grade | Free
Monday -Friday | 6/7 - 6/11 | 7:30am-4:00pm
Visit the LRC in this fun come-and-go event for children. Explore books in the LRC, plant vegetable seeds, and participate in garden themed craft projects.
Floriculture Grades 3 and up | $30.00
Tuesday | 6/8/2021 | 9:00am-11:00am
Students will be introduced to the basics of cultivating and arranging cut-flowers. They will learn how to plant, care for, harvest, and arranging while acquiring the knowledge needed to create a beautiful bouquet, from seed to vase.
Soap Making Grades 3 and up | $25

Make your own unique soaps in this fun class. Students will select fun and unique mols to make their soaps to take home.
Shut the Front Door Paint Party Grade 2 and up | $25.00

Students will paint their own door hanger; perfect for their bedroom door! Students will choose their design at registration. Choose from a butterfly, unicorn, truck, tractor, game controller, or sports ball.
Origami-Art Grades 2 and up | $10.00

Learn to make origami animals using the art of paper folding. The ancient art of origami is not only fun, it also enhances problem solving skills and focus.
Camp C.S.I. Grades 5 & up | $20.00

Become a lab detective and investigate a homicide. Students will examine and analyze DNA samples from a crime scene to determine who is guilty. Students will receive their own lab coats and safety glasses to perform the investigation.
Canvas Paint Grades 4-8 | $25.00

Create your own work of art in this guided painting class. Students will take home their personally created paint canvas.
Kids Rock Paint Grades 1-6 | $5.00

ROCK Frontier in this fun rock painting class. Students will paint two rocks with guided instruction. Rocks generously donated by Carter Trucking.
Sign Language for Kids Grades 1 and up | $15.00

Learn to communicate using your hands. Students will learn the alphabet, words, and basic phrases.
T Shirt Tie Dye Grades 2-6 | $20.00
