WVC's 89.1 The Bash will be home to Gibson Southern High School Football this fall
WVC's 89.1 The Bash will be home to Gibson Southern High School Football this fall

Mt. Carmel, IL –   The Wabash Valley College Radio-TV Broadcasting Department and Gibson Southern High School are pleased to announce that 89.1 The Bash Will become the radio home of Gibson Southern football this fall.  Along with broadcasting every game all season long, 89.1 the Bash will also broadcast the weekly “Nick Hart Show,” a talk show with the Titans’ head coach.  The veteran broadcast team of Bob Bowser and Jason White will provide the play-by-play, while Bowser will co-host the coach’s show with Hart.

Wabash Valley College President Dr. Matt Fowler is excited about the chance to provide this service to the Gibson Southern High School community.  “High-performing students from Gibson Southern High School are an ever-growing component of the Wabash Valley College student body, and our alignment benefits Gibson Southern students inside and outside the classroom,” Fowler said.

Wabash Valley College Director of Broadcasting Kyle Peach said, “We are constantly looking for ways to further serve our audience, and we believe covering the Titans this fall fills a huge void.”

Not only will fans be able to listen to the Titans’ broadcasts on the 50,000-watt signal of 89.1 the Bash, but Titans’ fans can also listen all around the world online at bashradio.com and by downloading the free 89.1 The Bash app in the App Store or Google Play.

“We are extremely excited to be partnering with 89/1 The Bash and appreciate the efforts of President Fowler, Mr. Peach, and Mr. Bowser for making this happen.  Our fans have long wanted to be able to follow the Titans over the air, and we are pleased to be making that a reality. One thing in particular that we are thrilled with is the fact that our games will be online which will make it possible for our alumni and fans all over the world to tune in.  We look forward to working with 89.1 The Bash this fall and getting started,” Gibson Southern Athletic Director Jon Adams said.

Titan Football Coach Nick Hart says he’s excited fans will be able to tune in.  “Our program will gain a lot of exposure because of this arrangement.  I am excited that our fans will now be able to listen to the game at the game and at home.  I am thrilled that Bob Bowser will be doing the broadcasting.  He and I have done the coach’s show together for a couple of years, and he does a fabulous job.  Thank you to Kyle Peach and President Fowler for making this possible,” Hart said.

More information on the schedule of the Nick Hart Show and sponsorship opportunities will be coming at a later date.

“We appreciate the support of the Titan Football Boosters, school administrators, and the coaching staff as we embark on our mission to provide this service to the Gibson Southern community,” Peach said.
