Karissa Anderson
Director of Instructional Support Services
Karissa Anderson is an accomplished professional with a passion for education and extensive experience on this campus and in the community. She holds an Associate's degree in Science from WVC, where she developed a keen interest in Marketing and Business. Karissa earned her Bachelor's degree in Science-Business, specializing in Marketing from the University of Phoenix.
Karissa's journey at WVC began in 1996 when she joined as the Assistant to the Director of Public Information & Marketing. In 2005, she transitioned to the role of Library Technician in the WVC Library and now serves as our Director of Instructional Support Services.
Karissa brings a strong commitment to enhancing the student experience. Her responsibilities include managing operations, supervising tutors, providing disability services, promoting new initiatives, conducting library instruction, and handling resource management.
Expressing her enthusiasm for the role, Karissa remarked, "[...] I had found my place. I found that the WVC Library/Academic Success Center has valuable resources that are often underrated and forgotten about. As the new Director, I want to be able to enhance the student experience here at WVC [by] providing support for their academic success."
