Beginning Digital Photography Class Starts Jan. 7 at OCC

PhotoLearn how to get the most out of your digital camera by enrolling in Olney Central College’s digital photography class.

Professional photographer Tim Dunahee will share his tips for taking great photos and help students as they become familiar with the features and functions of their cameras. Students also will learn how to operate all the various camera modes.

“This is a fun class for anyone who wants to learn more about digital photography,” Dunahee said. “Students will get a basic understating of how to use the camera and take good pictures.”

During the semester, Dunahee also will show students how to edit their photographs utilizing basic computer skills.

“If you can send an email, you can do the photo editing in this class,” he added.

The class, ART 2298 Digital Photography, will meet from 6 to 7:50 p.m. on Tuesdays, Jan. 7 through Feb. 25. Dunahee will teach an advanced course in March.

Tuition for the class is reduced for residents of the Illinois Eastern Community Colleges District who are taking four semester hours or less in the IECC District. To register, call OCC Student Services at 618-395-7777. You can view samples of Dunahee’s work by searching Tim Dunahee on Facebook.
