OCC Industrial Maintenance Program Accepting New Students

Olney Central College’s Industrial Maintenance Technology Program is accepting new students for the fall semester.

The IMT courses are designed to train students for employment and advancement in today’s technologically advanced industrial workplace. During the program, students study pneumatics and hydraulics, relay controls, motor controls, robotics, mechanics, welding, refrigeration and programmable logic controls.

Most of the IMT classes are hybrid courses, which allow students to complete some coursework at home or in the computer lab while still maintaining face-to-face contact with the instructor. Students can complete a progression of three certificates, which can lead to an associate’s degree.

The IMT Program is ideal for recent high school graduates or individuals looking to retrain for the job market. Those already working in the field can increase their chances for advancement and higher salaries by completing the program.

Those interested in the program are encouraged to meet with an advisor as soon as possible. To schedule an appointment, call 618-395-7777. Classes start Aug. 16.
