New Enhanced Online GED Classes Start July 3

GED FlierOlney Central College is enhancing its online GED test preparation classes this summer to better serve area residents.

“After observing the online format previously used by OCC for GED prep classes, we are making some changes with the hopes of offering a better and more tangible approach to online learning,” said Developmental Support Specialist Lindsey Buck.

The changes include the addition of live videos and chats with GED Instructor Kara Roberts.

“She is very excited to bring our online class to life with multiple methods of instruction,” Buck added. “The classes are free, testing assistance is available, and we’d love to help see you succeed.”

GED classes start July 3. Buck encourages individuals who are interested to stop by OCC’s Learning Skills Center between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday-Thursday, call the office at 618-395-7777 or utilize the new email address, occged@iecc.edu, to begin the registration process.

The LSC will continue to offer afternoon, evening and math only GED classes in a traditional face-to-face format.
