Frontier Community College is offering a “cultural package” for interested individuals in the community that will be held on Friday, July 13.  FCC will lead a group of up to 30 to The Muny in St. Louis, where they will watch the award-winning musical, Jersey Boys.  The $85 ticket package is available to individuals age 18 and older.

The international sensation, Jersey Boys tells the authentic biographic story of the magic behind the music of worldwide megahit group, Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons.  The performance will feature over 30 chart-topping hits, including fan favorites “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Walk Like a Man,” and “Oh, What a Night”.  The lead Frankie Valli will be played by Mark Ballas, a two-time champion of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars.

The Muny is a beautiful, outdoor theatre located in Forest Park of St. Louis.  Seven shows are performed each summer season, and showtime begins shortly before sunset.  Serving as America’s oldest and largest outdoor theatre, The Muny is celebrating its 100th season with a fantastic lineup of shows, including Annie, Meet Me in St. Louis, and Singin’ in the Rain

To honor the centennial anniversary, the Missouri History Museum currently has a “Muny Memories” exhibit, and this will be the first stop of the trip.  The group will also take a trolley ride through Forest Park, which offers beautiful views and landscapes.

FCC will then return to The Muny for a backstage tour, available only to group tickets.  The tour will show visitors how stage sets are designed and built, and it will culminate on The Muny’s grand stage, where the cast faces an 11,000 seat audience.

Prior to showtime, the group will have dinner at The Culver Pavilion, located directly on The Muny grounds.  The buffet will include entrée options of roast turkey, seared salmon, and short rib ravioli.  Dessert and tea are included in the meal, and individuals may purchase beverages from the full bar menu.

The itinerary is as follows:

  • 12:30PM – depart FCC
  • 3:30PM – visit the Missouri History Museum
  • 5:00PM – trolley ride through Forest Park
  • 6:00PM – The Muny backstage tour
