Health Trust Scholarship Awarded to Sara Bump

Sara Bump has been selected as this year’s recipient of the Illinois Community College System Health Trust Scholarship in the amount of $800 per semester.

Sara Bump, the wife of Casey Bump and the daughter of John and Lisa Collins, lives in Petersburg, IN and is a graduate of Pike Central High School.  Sara is a member of the Student Nurses’ Association, and her future career goal is to become a nurse.

The Health Trust Scholarship, previously named the Marilyn Casey Scholarship, is designed to assist students who are pursuing a degree in a health-related field at an Illinois community college.  The scholarship was made possible by a $500,000 Trust from Marilyn Casey, who was a nurse.  The Illinois Community College System Foundation administers this Trust as a scholarship program to benefit Illinois community college students and enhance the nursing and other health fields in Illinois.
