Four LTC Athletes Earn Postseason Honors

Four Lincoln Trail College student athletes were honored for on field performances in the Spring.

Utility player Sadie Baugh was named the Great Rivers Athletic Conference’s Freshman of the Year. She also earned All-Conference and All-Region 24 honors.

Baugh played in 53 games for the Lady Statesmen and led the team with a .474 batting average. He also had team-highs with 11 homeruns, 27 doubles and 50 RBI. Her .817 slugging percentage also led the team.

Statesmen first baseman Raul Hernandez was named the Region 24 and Great Rivers Athletic Conference Player of the Year. Hernandez also earned All-Conference and All-Region 24 selections.

Hernandez batted .419 to lead the Statesmen. He also led the team with 16 homeruns and 71 RBI. He ranked 12th in the nation in RBI. His .773 slugging percentage led the Statesmen.

Freshman outfielder Jordan Brewer joined Hernandez on the All-Conference and All-Region teams. Brewer batted .358 with eight homeruns and 38 RBI.

Freshman infielder Coby Taylor was a first-team All-Conference selection for the Statesmen. Taylor was second on the team with ten homeruns and 48 RBI despite missing nine games with an injury. He battled .338 and had a slugging percentage of .632, good for second on the team.
