The Graphic Arts & Design program prepares students for an exciting career in advertising, marketing, publishing, or as a professional graphic designer. Students perform a variety of computerized visual communication activities for the purposes of persuading, selling, and influencing consumer and social behavior. The program provides a robust curriculum of conceptual problem solving, critical thinking, creativity, and formal design. Emphasis is placed on branding and marketing strategies in real-world settings. Particular areas of study encompass typography, print and editorial design, branding and identity, information design, packaging, computer animation as well as production and presentation skills.
